Seeking to appoint new Vicar

Diocese of Newcastle

Vicar

for Holy Trinity Church, Jesmond

Patron: Holy Trinity Church Trustees and CPAS

We are seeking to appoint a new vicar for Holy Trinity Jesmond.  This is an exciting appointment based in the heart of the city of Newcastle upon Tyne.  Holy Trinity Jesmond is a warm, welcoming, lively evangelical Anglican church.  We are looking for someone who is creative, energetic and compassionate and who has experience in a growing church.

The new Vicar will relish leading the development of a vision for the next chapter of the church’s life, guiding the worshipping congregation in new ways, and working with them to build on the firm foundations already established.  We are looking for someone who can focus on both spiritual and numerical growth but who, above all, has the imagination and wisdom to ignite an infectious passion for God and can enable everyone to share in the journey.  Holy Trinity, Jesmond is not a church which is in the habit of standing still for long!

If you are this person, then you will have the ability to set priorities in a complex environment and to equip others to fulfil their potential for discipleship and ministry.  You will have the ability to apply faith to current issues, demonstrating that Jesus is relevant to 21st century life.  You will need to be a good preacher whose teaching is based on the Bible, an excellent communicator, a team player and a clear and strategic thinker.
